As players gather to partake in the festivities, a sense of nostalgia will merge with new experiences, creating unforgettable moments for both new and veteran players alike.

9 Updated Event Hub

Caverns of Time to Get Anniversary Makeover

Located conveniently outside the Caverns of Time in Tanaris, the anniversary celebration will introduce a new event hub that is easily accessible for players. Previously, quests, vendors, and events required navigating through a maze-like cavern, which could be cumbersome. This year, Blizzard aims to streamline the experience, allowing players to dive straight into the festivities without hassle.

The hub will offer a variety of activities designed to engage players of all levels. Featuring competitions like Fashion Frenzy and Mount Mania, the event will not only allow players to showcase their creativity but also to earn event-specific currency. These activities promise to capture the spirit of the game while introducing fresh content for the community.

8 New Currency

Bronze Celebration Tokens Will Earn You Rewards

During the anniversary event, players will earn a new currency known as Bronze Celebration Tokens. These tokens can be obtained through participation in anniversary activities and defeating special bosses throughout the event. Storekeeper Reginald will serve as the main vendor, providing players with exciting rewards in exchange for their hard-earned tokens.

Among the rewards available, players can look forward to new pets, toys, and a transmog set inspired by Blizzard's employee service rewards, alongside the highly sought-after Blue Armored Phoenix mount. Additionally, players will have the opportunity to acquire returning anniversary items, ensuring that both new and veteran players have plenty to treasure.

7 Return to Blackrock Depths

One of the most exciting highlights of the anniversary event is the return of Blackrock Depths. This beloved dungeon from the classic era is being reimagined as a 10-to-15-player raid that features new models for iconic bosses, such as High Interrogator Gerstahn and Emperor Dagran Thaurissan. This fresh take on an old favorite is sure to delight long-time players who fondly remember their adventures in the original game.

The restructured Blackrock Depths will offer eight main bosses and five mini-bosses, providing players with a rich and challenging experience. Whether players choose to queue through the group finder or form their own teams, the return of this classic dungeon is expected to enhance the anniversary celebrations significantly.

6 Redesigned Tier 2 Sets

A Throwback to Game's Classic Era

As part of the anniversary festivities, World of Warcraft will prominently feature redesigned Tier 2 class sets. Originally introduced as drops from Blackwing Lair, these sets are beloved by many players for their unique designs and thematic ties to the game's lore. During the event, players will have the chance to purchase these sets using Bronze Celebration Tokens, allowing for a nostalgic connection to the game's history.

In total, players can expect 13 class sets to be available, with updated designs for classes that were not around during the original release of Tier 2, such as Death Knights and Demon Hunters. 3 Korrak’s Revenge

During the anniversary event, players will have the chance to participate in Korrak's Revenge, a PvP event set in the classic battleground of Alterac Valley. By completing the quest related to this event, players can earn exclusive mounts, such as the Stormpike Battle Ram for Alliance players and the Frostwolf Snarler for Horde players. This feature not only encourages participation but also rewards players for their efforts.

The Korrak's Revenge battleground will also showcase an armory with PvP sets from previous expansions, allowing players to equip themselves in the gear of their choice as they prepare for battle.
