Ubisoft Confirms Offline Modes For The Crew 2 And The Crew Motorfest

Ubisoft is taking fan feedback seriously as The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest will both have offline modes planned in the future. Developer Ubisoft Ivory Tower confirmed the news during its Tuesday The Crew Showcase 2024 live stream, which revealed content for Year 2 of The Crew Motorfest. This announcement comes in response to fan concerns regarding access to the games, as the original The Crew was taken offline on April 1 and was delisted in December 2023.

Stéphane Beley, the Managing Studio Director at Ubisoft Ivory Tower, emphasized their commitment to the community, stating, "Today, we want to acknowledge that some of you have voiced concerns about the access to The Crew games. We are currently exploring different solutions and can confirm an offline mode, to ensure long-term access to both titles." This commitment aims to keep players engaged even without a constant internet connection.

The Year 2 Showcase also highlighted the upcoming addition of the island of Maui, set to release on November 6, featuring over 100km of off-roading adventures, which is nearly half the size of Oahu. Players will be able to explore this new environment via various means, including boats and planes, all without loading screens. This new content promises to enhance the gameplay experience for fans of the racing series.
